MyWebRoom Brand Ambassador

Exciting news readers!  I am now a brand ambassador for MyWebRoom, the website I reviewed a little over one week ago.  I was featured on the blog along with other new brand ambassadors: http://www.mywebroom.com/blog/mywebroom-brand-ambassadors/

Believe me when I say I would not have joined this program if I did not believe the website had potential to be successful.  If you are creative and/or enjoy interior decorating, this is the website for you.  Don’t worry; it is free!  Here are some links for you to check out:

If you feel like you are not creative, don’t let that stop you.  I find virtually decorating therapeutic.  Even though the components of the website are very mature, the basic idea brings me back to childhood and playing games online.  Whenever you feel stressed, take a break from reality and decorate your dream room.  :)

Take a Bite Out of Lyme Disease

Take a Bite Out of Lyme Disease

Hello hello hello!!  I hope you have all had a lovely Sunday.  I know I did.  I went to church, filmed two Youtube videos, cheered on the Anaheim Ducks (They won!!), did a little tanning, and swam laps.  Very productive!  Speaking of Youtube, I did the “Take a Bite Out of Lyme Disease Challenge.”  I would really appreciate if you would take the time to either watch the video or visit the website to find out what the challenge is all about.

My Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6T5oJ3x4lY

The Website: http://lymediseasechallenge.org/

If either of those options does not interest you, here are the instructions for the challenge:

1. TAKE A BITE: Bite a lime and TAKE A PHOTO OR A  SHORT VIDEO of the act – the more sourpuss your face, the better (and funnier!).

2. SHARE A FACT: State ONE BRIEF FACT ABOUT LYME DISEASE, such as the facts provided below. You can say them in your video, write them on your photo, or include them in your post. Help us spread the true facts about Lyme Disease!

3. PASS IT ON: Keep the campaign going — CHALLENGE THREE OTHER PEOPLE – your friends, family, whomever! – to take a bite! Mention them in your video or if you do a photo tag them in your post.

-Take the challenge, spread the word, do something to help the cause-

If you feel like you might have Lyme Disease, here is a list of symptoms:

Pain: in the muscles or joints

Skin: bull’s eye pattern rash or red rashes

Joints: stiffness or swelling

Whole body: malaise, fever, or fatigue

Also common: redness, weakness of limb, or headache

Do not wait!!  Even though Lyme Disease is treatable, it is more manageable when caught early.  It can cause severe health conditions if caught in a late stage of the infection.  Cases with prolonged symptoms are labeled as “Post-Treatment Lyme Disease Syndrome.”

Stay aware and stay strong readers!!

Moving On

Moving On

On Monday I left Texas, my home of 13 years. My family’s 6-bedroom house provided shelter to 26 people, not including me, my parents, and my brother; I always had extended family around me. On Tuesday I arrived in California, my new home; my family currently lives in a one-bedroom apartment above a garage. Quite the adventure we are on!! The picture you see above is my room, an empty room bursting at the seams full of memories. It is amazing to recall all the things that took place in that space: Babysitting, beauty transformations, concerts, counseling, dance practice, dreams, doll shenanigans, dramatic dress up, DVD viewings, emotional breakdowns, exercise sessions, fashion shows, fights, hide-and-seek, 2+ hour phone calls, illness rehabilitation, internet browsing, late night reading, outfit planning, schoolwork, and sleepovers. One last thing: Me and my best friend Gabby officially became friends in that room thanks to “Lord of the Beans.” I moved to Texas when I was 8, and I am now 21. My middle school, junior high, high school, and college years took place in that state. Many different struggles and transitions took place in that house; perhaps now you have a better idea of why it is so special to me. It is bittersweet to move on, but I will always carry the memories with me in my heart.

Treasure each moment readers! You never know when you will be uprooted and replanted.
