My last post was a bit of a downer so tonight I’m focusing on sources of joy from my Thursday. Even though I’m exhausted & don’t feel good, I was productive with my work tasks. I got some reading & note-taking done for the book review I’m currently working on. Pssst, I’ll let you in on what I’m reading: “Gilded” by Marissa Meyer. ❄️ I placed an order for an exciting, TikTok-approved YouTube video. I watched Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman which is one of my comfort shows; obviously I love it for the strong female lead & beautiful Colorado mountain views. 😉 My parents treated my brother & I to Sonic ice cream, which I can never say no to; if anyone’s curious, I got an M&Ms blast. 🍦 I listened to some throwback Disney songs while doing a Lucy Wyndham-Read arm workout; I’m on day 3 of the 7-day challenge, & I finally managed the whole thing without stopping for a break. FEEL THE BURN! 🔥 Last but certainly not least,I purchased the brand new Neopets Faerie AOP T-Shirt from Cakeworthy. I wear their all-over-print shirts every single day so you can imagine how extensive my collection is. When I saw a teaser for their Neopets collection, I IMMEDIATELY marked my calendar. If you need me, I’ll be looking out the window, impatiently waiting for my package. 🧚♂️
When life gives you lemon after lemon after lemon, it’s nice to set aside time to make lemonade. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by the bad & forgot about all the good that’s right there. Writing all this down was very therapeutic so I thank you for indulging me. 💕 I’ll try & do these casual updates more often, especially after good days like today. I hope you had a great Thursday too. Good Night! 🌙
This is the musical tag. If you are not interested in musicals, I would suggest that you stop reading and stay tuned for my next blog post. If you would like to watch the Youtube version, click the following link: https://youtu.be/jla9o38LHxE
If you are prepared to read, proceed. :)
Q: What is your favorite stage musical?
A: I have never seen a musical performed by a professional group. However, I saw a homeschool group from my childhood city perform plays and musicals, and they did an excellent job. The productions were so well done, they might as well have been professional. Brava!
A: I think this question refers to live productions, but that does not apply to me. I am changing the context to my favorite singular performance within a musical film: “Singing in the Rain” performed by Gene Kelly.
A: I apologize to anybody who likes these two musicals. I did not enjoy “Gigi” or “Cry-Baby.” The character Gigi annoyed me , and I could not connect to the characters or storyline in “Cry-Baby.”
A: Musicals were a normal part of my life growing up as a dancer, and they still hold a special place in my heart.
Q: Describe yourself using one lyric from a musical?
A: Defying. Fear is one of the biggest obstacles in my life, but I constantly find myself taking on challenges and completing what I thought was beyond my limits.

Me and my best friend Gabby did the Disney challenge featuring songs from “Frozen”, “Jungle Book”, “Lilo & Stitch”, “Lion King”, “Little Mermaid”, “Mulan”, “Pocahontas”, “Princess and the Frog”, “Shrek 2”, “Tangled”, and “Tarzan.” Warning! The following video features A LOT of dramatic lip synching and laughter.
If you would like to do this challenge, here are the rules:
1. At least two players are required plus someone to play the songs and keep score. We did not have a third person so I used the Pandora app on my phone. I put a towel over the top half of my phone where the songs were displayed and did the manual work myself (playing, pausing, etc). Gabby kept score on her phone.
2. Each person has ten seconds to guess the title of a song (One Point) and what Disney movie it comes from (One Point). After time is up, the other person can take a guess and try to steal the points. Each round can earn a player 0, 1, or 2 points.
3. The person with the most points at the end of the game wins. Me and Gabby ended the game after ten songs.
I hope you enjoyed the video! Film your own version. It’s a lot of fun!!
Stay tuned for more posts coming soon. Stay young at heart readers! :)
If you follow my Youtube channel, you know that me and my best friend Gabby did the Best friend Tag. We had so much fun talking and reminiscing. I ended up having to edit the video into four parts. For your viewing pleasure, I am linking all the videos in this blog post for convenience. Enjoy!

” Best friends are people you don’t need to talk to every single day. You don’t need to talk to each other for weeks, but when you do, it’s as if you didn’t even stop talking.” – Unknown
The title is not a reference to the movie but rather my current state of mind. Do you ever have one of those days where productivity is necessary but taking the first step is as difficult as traveling the world in 80 days? For me, today is that day. I have done everything but attack my homework with determination. Unfortunately, I feel like I am getting sick and am physically exhausted and ready for a much needed vacation. I only have four more weeks left, but it may as well be four months. Here I am staring down a pile of homework that needs to get done, and my mind is distracted from exhaustion and illness and holiday season excitement. Who can think when there are books to read and movies to cry about and songs to belt out?
Well, time to suck it up and get to work. My goal: surviving until Thanksgiving break, which starts next Wednesday.
1 month, 6 days, 4 hours, and 37 minutes until Christmas. Stay merry!!!
