👑 Two princesses . . .

Number one, Grandmother Fa might be my favorite Disney character of all time. She is HILARIOUS! “Great. She brings home a sword. If you ask me, she should’ve brought home a man.” 😂

Two, Mushu is the BEST! “Dishonor on you, dishonor on your cow . . .” 🐉

Three, Shan Yu is the most terrifying Disney villain. He burns villages full of men, women, & children to the ground. The first time I ever saw Mulan was on accident at a friend’s house. I caught a few seconds of Shan Yu onscreen & didn’t watch it again for years because I was SCARRED. 😭

Four, Li-Shang. No other words needed. 😍

Five, I’ll Make a Man Out of You continues to stand the test of time. What. A. Jam. 🎵

Six, Mulan kicks butt, takes names, & saves China. I’ll wait while you try to think of a superior warrior princess. 🇨🇳

Seven, this is one of my favorite quotes: “The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all.”

If you couldn’t already tell, this is my favorite Disney princess movie. 🇨🇳 🐉 🗡 👑

👑 Three princesses!!!

Mulan is the #1 Disney princess in my heart followed by Jasmine. Since I already watched Aladdin, I’m moving on to #3: Pocahontas! 🍁🍂🍃

Number one, the animation is breathtaking. The nature is so vibrant! 🌾🌊

Two, Meeko is always eating. That is a MOOD. 🍪

Three, Kocoum is a beautiful, animated man. I guarantee I’m not the only girl who’s had a crush on him. *sigh* 💕

Four, Jim Cummings is the singing voice for Chief Powhatan & Kekata. 🎤

Five, the frenemy relationship between Percy & Meeko is comedy gold. 😂

Six, this part makes me LOL:

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW! This movie is amazing & still in my top 3 Disney princess movies. 👸🏻 I know there’s controversy about the historical inaccuracies, but I want to focus on the positive which is the message of love over prejudice. That is something all of us can support! ❤️

Final thoughts for the day: I’ve already said a lot about what I watched today so I’ll just sign off for the night. I hope you enjoyed Disney Princess Day because there will probably be a few more before this marathon is done. See you tomorrow for day 11! 👋

This is my FAVORITE non-franchise Disney Channel original movie. It stars not only Brenda Song & Danielle Panabaker but also baby Taran Killam. Yes, THAT Taran Killam from Saturday Night Live. 😮

Fun Fact: Drew Seeley cameos as David, the hotel desk clerk. It is believed that he was Jordan Cahill’s singing voice. His voice was also used for Troy Bolton in High School Musical (only the 1st movie).

8pm – Blogging + Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior 💻

If you haven’t already guessed, today is all about Disney Channel queen Brenda Song. 👑

Anyone else have a HUGE crush on Shin Koyamada back in the day?? Since we’re on the subject, I’ll also admit to crushin’ on Justin Chon. *sigh* 🥰

Even though this movie is about a Chinese family, I think it’s important to note that Brenda is Hmong & Thai; Justin is Korean; & Shin is Japanese. 🇨🇳 🇹🇭 🇰🇷 🇯🇵

Final thoughts for the day: Yes, I did spend my day off from work working. But, it was raining, & I was watching Disney+ so I can’t really complain. 😂 I didn’t watch as many Suite Life episodes as I wanted to so don’t be surprised if it pops up again. Stuck in the Suburbs transported me right back to middle school squealing over the latest popstar sensation. I mean, I still wish Jordan Cahill was real. 😍 Ending the day with Wendy Wu has me feeling like a kick-butt warrior who could go out right now & save the world. Show me a villain! 💥 I’m off from work again tomorrow so buckle up for day 10. I see a princess or two or three in my near future. 👸

Mufasa’s death still punches me in the gut. On top of that, Simba’s helpless little face & the way he snuggles up to his dad’s body. One of the SADDEST scenes in Disney history! 😭 💔

Final thoughts for the day: Even though my afternoon was spent at work, I had a blast hanging out in the African savanna the rest of the day. I always forget how much I love Timon & Pumbaa. They are hilarious! 😂 I’ve always felt this way, but it needs to be acknowledged that The Lion King has an AMAZING score & soundtrack. It blows my mind every time I watch the movie. So atmospheric! 🌍 I’m off work tomorrow, & it’s supposed to be cold & rainy so I have an ambitious schedule planned. Get excited! 😆

Emotions Update: I cried when Casey’s mom showed up to watch her compete at Sectionals. 🤧 I don’t think I’ve ever cried while watching this movie. EVER! 😂

Final thoughts for the day: Even though today was exhausting, I had SO MUCH FUN going back to two of my throwback favorites, both of which have ice skating. I cannot stress enough how great the soundtracks are. So many songs that have, in my humble opinion, stood the test of time. Masterpieces! Even though I watched only 2 movies, I feel fantastic & ready to go for day 6. See you tomorrow!

The animation. The soundtrack. The story. I swear God Help The Outcasts is one of the most beautiful scenes in any Disney movie. There’s a reason this is in my top 10. If you’ve never seen it, GO GO GO!!!

In the 1st episode, Nick experiences a hardcore crush. After he discovers she has a boyfriend, he has a hard time letting go. I don’t care who you are. That’s relatable content! Who says Disney Channel can’t be deep??

Um . . . the end of this episode when the brothers remake their old home movies for their mom’s birthday made me tear up. I swear I’m doing fine! 😂

Round of applause for Disney QUEEN Christy Carlson Romano! 👏 👏 👏 She was not only Ren Stevens on Even Stevens but also the voice of Kim Possible. Now she’s cooking with fellow child actors on her YouTube channel. We truly don’t deserve her! 👑

6:15pm – Dinner + Brother Bear

When I say I sobbed during the entire movie, I mean I was literally shaking with tears streaming down my face. 😭 The story about brotherhood always tugs at my heartstrings. This is another film in my Disney top 10. If you haven’t seen it, you’re missing out BIG time. Two words: Phil Collins. If that doesn’t convince you, you don’t deserve this movie in your life. 🤷‍♀️

Final thoughts for the day: I was surprisingly emotional during almost everything I watched today. Louis Stevens giving up his collectible card to give Ren a nice necklace for her birthday as an apology. Miley Stewart missing her mom. The Lucas brothers remaking their ruined home movies for their mom’s birthday. Basically everything in Brother Bear. Holey moley! I need some time to recover. We are 3 days into this marathon, & I hope you’re enjoying hanging out with me. See you tomorrow! 👋

Magica uses “Bibbidi bobbidi boo!” to keep Mrs. Beakley under her control. Also, Magica’s brother Poe was turned into a raven, & he uses “Evermore” & “Nevermore” often, a reference to Edgar Allen Poe’s poem The Raven. Those are just two of MANY easter eggs in Ducktales. 😲

. . . I blinked, & suddenly episode 5 was playing. I thought I was so invested in the show that I lost track of time. NOPE! Certain episodes are missing in the lineup so I only watched two. It seemed like 5 because of the episode numbers.

Can we talk about how creepy Armstrong is?? He’s a robot that becomes power hungry & uses his technological abilities to wreak havoc. In 2019, that is S C A R Y.

Final thoughts for the day: Ducktales is amazing, & I forgot what a gem Emperor’s New School is. Also, we need to talk much MUCH more about the friendship between Kuzco & Pacha. I am so excited to be watching this stuff through older eyes. It validates my memories of an amazing childhood in the 90s & 2000s. There’s a bit more variety coming soon from my list so hang tight if you want to hear about films & shows that have yet to be mentioned. I ended the day with 12 TV episodes & 1 movie. We have 28 days left. On to day 3! ➡️

*Note: I wanted to start with my favorite Disney movie Tarzan, but it isn’t available yet so I watched my number 2 movie. 👍

I sobbed my way through the ENTIRE movie. 😭 I wasn’t allowed to watch Aladdin as a child so my only exposure was the Disney sing along songs VHS tapes & the TV series. One of the songs I grew up learning was You Ain’t Never Had A Friend Like Me so Genie has meant a lot to me for a very long time. I’m extremely emotional every time I watch the film, especially following Robin William’s passing. Gone but never forgotten! 💙

5:45pm – Blogging + Disney’s Hercules: The Animated Series

S1E1 – Hercules and the Apollo Mission

S1E2 – Hercules and the King of Thessaly

S1E3 – Hercules and the Secret Weapon

I don’t think I’ve watched this show since grandma’s house in the late 90s & early 2000s. What a blast from the past! 😮

8:30pm – Blogging + Hercules 💻

Of course I had to complete my top 3 favorite Disney films of all time! Tarzan. Aladdin. Hercules. I’ve always loved the heroes. 💥😊💥

Final thoughts for the day: I didn’t experience an annoying amount of bugs on Disney+ aside from the occasional loading issue or touchscreen controls not responding properly through my iPad. As a MEGA Disney fan, this streaming service is worth the money. Films & shows I’ve wanted to watch again for years & years are finally available to me, some that I haven’t seen since I was a child. It was a blast reliving my childhood, & this is only DAY ONE. I got through 12 TV episodes & 2 movies. Not bad for a Tuesday!

This is it! The moment you’ve all been waiting for. My Disney+ Dream Job video is complete & ready to be watched as many as you can tolerate hearing the sound of my voice. 😂 If you don’t know the details, read my last blog post.
