“Parting is such sweet sorrow… (“Romeo and Juliet”)”  In other words, goodbyes suck.  After six long months apart, I finally got to spend time with my dad and brother.  Unfortunately, time does run out, and today was the day to say the G word.  If I said I was excited for the six month separation ahead, I would be lying, but I know that every trial in life contains a lesson to be learned.  After all, “That which does not kill us makes us stronger (Friedrich Nietzsche).”  Today will be the typical “Lie in bed depressed because of a painful goodbye” day for me, but I know that the only way to get through this is to move forward.  As a writer, I love words because they can be so powerful; I am going to post some uplifting quotes about goodbyes to encourage anyone else currently going through a painful separation.
